SPORTS CAR CLUB OF AMERICA (SCCA)

Founded in 1944 by amateur motorsports enthusiasts, the SCCA today has over 54,000 members. One hundred ten regional chapters across the country provide true grassroots participation. These regional clubs, and the thousands of men and women who volunteer their time and effort in support of their club, are the backbone of the SCCA.

The individual SCCA regions are brought together into a powerful national organization by a full-time professional staff headquartered in Englewood, Colorado. This National Office oversees rules, licensing, insurance, and benefits for all members, as well as the various SCCA racing series.

The SCCA is also a leader in the American motorsports community. We are, along with NASCAR, NHRA, CART, USAC, and IMSA, members of the Automobile Competition Committee for the United States (ACCUS), an affiliate of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). Then there is our exclusive monthly magazine, SportsCar, which offers lively coverage of the many different SCCA activities. The SCCA is also a leader in motorsports insurance, offering its members protection unparalleled in other forms of racing.

This non-profit organization is thriving as never before, and now sanctions more than 2,100 amateur and professional motorsports events each year in all 50 states, Canada and Mexico.
